PROJECT: LIVE OAK

Grounding a statuesque home with a naturalistic, calming garden.

We were tasked with turning this house back into a home again after it underwent a major remodel. We established a new front garden whose look needed to be naturalistic with a focus on relaxing drifts of foliage and color. Similar to the home’s previous garden, the plants are lush and verdant, but require much less water. From the interior first floor (formally the basement), you are invited out to a sunny sunken terrace, where you would never know you are in the front yard. We put our own spin on the classic window box, by planting this handcrafted box with a modern palette.
